Does anyone have experience of coupling sugar to latex beads?

I would like to use sugar-coated beads to study phagocytosis. However I cannot find related protocol or commercial products. Can anyone devote some thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

Hi Jun: You can utilize the reducing nature of sugar (using peroxide) to produce aldehyde, and activate your beads with hydrozine. The two will form covalent bond. I'll look for my files for references for you later.
