Does anyone have evidence for fluorescence of pectin stain with ruthenium red in the CLSM?

This stain is very common in plant cells walls, but I'm not sure if ruthenium red works as fluorophore in CLSM.

Dear Jonathan,

My reply is a little bit late, but if you have found any fluorescent stain for pectin, I´m interested in. Someone told me that methylene blue is working a as fluorescent stain for pectin. I haven´t checked it.

I know just one publication (see attached file) about the use of ruthenium red and CLSM and in that case it didn´t work.
