Does anyone's know of research or researchers dealing with pre-Colombian Native American population structure using ancient DNA? I'm interested in eastern vs. western patterns of genetic diversity, but, since the eastern tribes were scattered, wiped out, or integrated, I'm not sure that modern DNA could tell a truthful story. Someone out there must be sampling ancient DNA to look at early phylogeographic patterns in Native Americans, but who?

Thanks Hassan, I have already done a thorough search for literature. Unfortunately, most of it relies on limited sampling in the eastern USA and none with ancient DNA.
