I guess if you use Cy-Dye for visualization, it would be more productive

I've stained DNA on native PAGE using a standard silver staining protocol, and it worked well:

1. 50 % EtOH, 12 % acetic acid, soak with shaking for 30 min

2.10 % EtOH, 5 % acetic acid, soak with shaking for 30 min

3. soak+shake in 3.4 mM K2Cr2O7 with 2.8 mM HNO3 for 5 min

4. wash well with re-distilled water until all of the yellow color disappears (it will take at least 5 times the volume you used for the previous step)

5. soak + shake in 12 mM AgNO3 for 30 min

6. wash once with redistilled water before proceeding to the next step

7. briefly soak + shake in 280 mM Na2CO3 with 1.2 mM formaldehyde (usually now you can see some unspecifically bound silver acummulating on top of your gel - you can get rid of it by quickly removing that liquid and replacing it with some fresh 280 mM Na2CO3 + 1.2 mM formaldehyde solution. In any case, this step should not take you more than a minute or two

8. develop the gel by adding 280 mM Na2CO3 + 4.3 mM formaldehyde. Shake lightly until you see your bands developing (usually 1-3 minutes).

9. stop the reaction by soaking the gel in 170 mM HOAc.

PS: I don't know what king of native page you are using but something like 12% PAGE in TBE should work...
