Muthu; When I was a beginner in my ant studies I contacted a post-doctoral researcher whose papers I was familiar with. I asked him if he would be willing to check a FEW specimens' identifications. He kindly agreed to do that. I adhered exactly to the conventions of specimen preparation and labeling. And I only sent the 3-4 specimens that I was most anxious to have checked. It worked. As my skills grew he, and other researchers he referred me to, helped with other difficult groups.
Now I can help others and pass along the favor that was done for me. Their time is valuable so be sure that you don't wear out their generosity. Best regards, Jim Des Lauriers
