I am currently working on my MSc dissertation which uses a number of executive functions tests. And I came to relaize that I will need a Stroop test scoring manual, which I can't seem to get here. Does anyone by any chance has one pdf version perhaps? Thank you :)
Which version of the Stroop are you using? There are so many. And since the original paper dates from 1935, anyone who wishes can make up their own!
What they all have in common is the following: The basic score is the length of time it takes a person to respond to the test. In most versions, an incorrect answer is labeled as such immediately, and the person must correct it before moving on. Thus, errors are factored in to the duration score.
If you are using a computer-based version, then the program probably just won't let the person proceed until they get it right. If you're using a paper version, then it's up to you (as test administrator) to catch this and stop them.
Of course you mostly only get errors on the final trial (the interference condition) - not on the "read" condition or the "name colors" condition.
And don't forget to check your male participants for red-green color blindness before proceeding!

Aline Ball See my previous answer. There are many, but it all comes down to time to completion, sometimes with an additional "score" for errors.
In case you are interested, I'm attaching a copy of J. Ridley Stroop's original 1935 article. Every version of the measure is ultimately based on this.

One problem with computer-based versions is that keys are assigned for each color, but there is no obvious link between the key and the color. A work-around is to make little colored pieces of paper or plastic and stick them to the keys in question. Otherwise you're adding the element of remembering which key is for which color.
