We would like to find an alternative to the Lipofectamine which is very efficient but quite expensive.
Since in my lab we used to buy 2 tubes of LIPOFECTAMINE every week , we would like to cut the cost by trying something else. We just got an offer from a Company, SignaGen Laboratories, which has proposing PolyJet DNA Transfection Reagent ad alternative to Lipofectamine and Fugene.
I would like to know if somebody got experience with this guys.
I do use PEI, it works as good as the Lipofectamine and it is cheaper.

PolyJet works good in our system (A549, HuH7, 293T, THP1 .......), even co-transfect several plasmids. We used Lipo2000 and Turbofect before.
I also use linear PEI for about 6 years now and this is great. We compared a lot of different transfectants like JET DNA, Lipofectamine and branched PEI and it's by far the best. I use it everyday to transfect DNA in 96-well plates and so far I did more than 400 hundreds plates using it and no complains at all. I can definitely recommend you to try it, very cheap and efficient. Here are the info to order the one I use: Polyethylenimine MAX, Polysciences, Inc., Cat #24765.
