according to the website this is what the medium contains:
Modification of Eagle’s Minimal Essential Medium, buffered with HEPES and sodium bicarbonate, and supplemented with hypoxanthine, thymidine, sodium pyruvate, L-glutamine, trace elements and growth factors; protein level is minimal with insulin and transferrin being the only protein supplements; phenol red included at a reduced concentration as a pH indicator.
In any case if it is similar to lipofectamine I would say that Opti-Mem or DMEM should work just fine.
Please don't use Luria-Bertani medium (LB) that is a bacterial media, not a media for eukaryotic cells, like mammal cell lines, that is what I assume you are using.
In theory Optimem, MEM, etc should work, in practice that will depend on your cells. Most cell lines will grow in most medium types (RPMI, DMEM, MEM, etc) without any problems but some cell lines do require specific medium and supplements so with regards to your question; it will more than likely depend on the cells that you are culturing.
