Does anybody know the hydraulic retention time (HRT) in MFC/MEC? Is it the same with the length of the feed period in fed-batch MFC/MEC?

The hydraulic retention time (HRT)

This vary from system to system but in this case this may not be the if the settling particle decay or get enlarged through chemical and biological process you can derive the same using basic principles of stoke;s law, gravtional force and taking reactions in account.
