RG is friendly, simple, open, affordable, entycing. It provides wide bibliography and the chance to get in touch online with many researchers. It is a valuable contribute to Science.

I find no other platform that is so enjoyable to navigate in such complete manner.

How is it to put the digitized film on the YouTube site (https://www.youtube.com)? From this site, you can use the film in your lecture on your personal computer, projecting it on the screen in the classroom.

Blog is another platform where we can communicate and discuss research and teaching.

Does anybody know and has experiences with a similar excellent plattform as Research Gate in the field of teaching and lecturing?

Agreed with Tatsuo-san that you can upload the large video clip into YouTube or large presentation file into Slideshare websites.  Then you can insert their links into your post in RG, Academia, Mendeley, MyScienceWork etc. social networking websites.  When other researchers / learners click on the link in your social networking websites, it will bring them to YouTube or Slideshare websites to play the video or presentation file.

I think RG is the best option. Also, LinkedIn is another option.

No, I do not have any idea. I like to communicate on RG. 

Actually, RG should be the right place for willing researchers to share teaching/learning materials. Most researchers are teachers as well, I suppose.

thank you for answering. The links do not show my problem in the head line. I want to use a plattform only for teaching material. So I have two videos and much other materials I would like to share with colleagues like we do it in RG. But 48 GBt RG does not accept.

Before I found RG I used to post videos, etc to a blog for my students (who are not members of RG or any similar organization.

1. I used to offer courses with a friend of mine (he has a portal in India)

2. Collaborate with organization and present modules as a part of their Webinars (lots of US corporates do that)

3.Make a Youtube  channel and share the link

4. I watch some product related videos on Digikey,ca (they are component distributors, also I got some free stuff from them !!)

5. Create a blog , the # of hits can be obtained by Google analytic

45 GBits (5+ GBytes) is really large - which might be the reason for failing @ youtube. Any chance you could convert it to a less memory-hungry format without loosing too much quality?

I have tried to use www.academia.edu but it is very hardly to be active on LinkedIn, RG i another platforms... so I have stayed active on LinkedIn and RG and very often I use it simultaneously.

Adding videos to RG seems like a natural evolution for RG. Perhaps if RG allowed a link to YouTube, so that the videos appear to be in RG, that would work for now, but it would be great if videos could be added right into RG.

Well folks there are others.  For example, LinkedIn has a slide share (see link below)  that is a great resource for a variety of topic presentations for classroom instruction, research, or personal enrichment. There are also formal academic web sites with good reputation such as Academia.com.  Also, there are several other platforms that are research specific but most require membership. They can be located through advanced google searches.
