I am working on a research project where I want to measure impact of coaching competencies (and other factors) on coaching outcomes and I am looking for reliable and valid measures. I´ve seen some competencies frameworks, yet I would appreciate any tip for a good scale/measure. Thanks!
You can use questionnaire and the Research question is Experimental research methodology. Experimental research is also known as a true experiment. The researcher influences the sample population actively in order to observe the results. It is carried out to establish the cause (Christensen, Larry and Meg, 1988). Questionnaire is an instrument consisting of a series of questions asked to individuals in order to obtain statistically useful information. The main reason for using questionnaires is that they are cheap, does not require skilled expertise and provides standardized answers. Statistical charts can be defined as a graphical representation of data. A chart makes it easy for one to understand large quantities of data and the existing relationship of your target goal.
Pavlína, are you looking for a measure of how well the executive coach is doing or a measure of how well the executive is coaching his or her team members? I have a scale for managers and leaders that is based upon the ICF Core Competencies that shows good psychometric characteristics and correlation with measures of relationship, engagement, intention to quit and more.
