Environment psychology suggests that high levels of population density conduct people to crowding perceptions, which, in turn, by threatening their privacy, own territory and well-being, may lead them to engaging in deviance. As most of these issues have been studied from a psychological and social-psychological perspective, we question if any of these phenomena and mechanisms are directly applicable to sociological contexts. Do you think that cities with high levels of population density are more exposed to suffer deviance?
