Writing with others is usually useful and has many advantages, but it can generate many conflicts and problems among co-authors. Such as differences in views, personal conflicts, and disagreement over who is the first author. Please, your opinion will be very appreciated.
Do you prefer to write your research with co-authors or individually?
I have no preference but willing to research on my own or with other co-author(s) depending on any opportunity arises. Based on my personal experience, following are the strengths of researching individually vs researching with co-authors (not exhaustive list):

Two heads (in fact WISE ones) are better than one. I think that co-authorship has several advantages than disadvantages.The Conflict and disagreement you mentioned may be healthy for the issue as stake. this becomes crucial especially when the authors are from different disciplines and each looks at issues through their disciplinary lenses. In the end, it will strengthen the argument advanced in the paper. On the sequence of the names, you may look at the role and contributions of individuals to determine the order. Again, if its for the purposes of promotion, you may as well consider the institutional policy. In my university, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the first three authors are given the same score. In this case, one loses nothing if he is econd or third.
In my opinion co-authorship is good provided that there is good understanding between them. In multidisciplinary studies there would obviously be co-authors.

It depends. Sometimes there is a specific necessity which lead us to work in cooperative manner. But I prefer to work alone , this is frankly.

Actually for scientific purposes despite the disadvantages you mention, it is better to write the research with co-authors.
I prefer to write with co-authors, but the opportunities do not always occur. I push the borderlands of knowledge, and the people who reside there have strong opinions and different priorities. They contribute to the development of a topic and receive credit, but usually do not agree t co-author.

Hi Amer, I concur with other contributors. The biggest challenge one might have could be finding enough people in one's field or related subject area at equivalent level who can really share the workload as different from piggy riding on another's back.
More brainstorming produces better ideas - will not incur "blind spot" as experienced by individual researcher.
All my research publications are mostly collaborative works of many authors, and there was never a conflict for the authorship.
My research publications are mix between individually, and with co-authors, either way, things are normal
Very often the common publication is important to présent new results after the collaboration, but later personal publication can be interesting for discused better other parts of investigation
It depend on the nature of research with its working experience & knowledge involved in it . With this with a co -author if we have a tune with the mind of his thinking & have also a personal relation in the sense that we speak the same language of mind & the heart & in this case to take the support for our research with the co-author we may not find an experience & any difficulty for completing the same .
For individuals it is our own action & our study we should not find any problem .
