Generally speaking, cartoons aim to provide us with a trip to the land of goodness and fairies, of imaginations and possibilities in order to help us cope with the vagaries of our daily lives. Without watching cartoons, the imaginative world of children seems to be inconceivable. As Walt Disney once stated, "animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive. This facility makes it the most versatile and explicit means of communication yet devised for quick mass appreciation.” Notably, the main audience of the cartoons are children because the special effects and forces in cartoons can dramatically influence kid's impressionable minds and childlike fantasies. Cartoons may benefit children in two different but complementary ways. First, their flexible plots and colorful sceneries have both entertainment and relaxation values. Second, cartoons are educational because they provide children with specific attention skills and learning strategies.
Children like to watch cartoons since the way of doing things by the cartoons and their activities, language make them to laugh. Also children start imagine themselves like the cartoon and try to include cartoons activities in their life style. Moreover the cartoon film/episode include most of the activities which are liked by the children.
In addition to the excellent view of Prof. Emad, I would add that children are fascinated by the high graphical content and simplified themes of cartoons. It also resonates with their level of maturity.
