Dear Radmer,

The regional citrate anticoagulation is the standard of CRRT in my institution. It is regional and safer than systemic heparin anticoagulation, prolongs filter lifespan and finally is recommended by many professional associations including KDIGO.

Yes, we have 10%CaCl2 protocol managed by nurses. 250 ml bottle lasts one day (median) and costs 3 Eur. All our patients on RRT run in RCA since 1999, our 16 year experience is now supported by KDIGO and others.

Hello Tomasz. I have attached our CRRT guidelines from the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. We have used this with great success. Our regional citrate anticoagulation protocol is found on the last page of the attached document. I hope this helps.
