Good Day,

I think that old woman was absolutely right when she advised you to "avoid free offers!". No one would offer something for free with out getting some benefit out of it. There is always a catch, they show you that the offer is completely free, but they ask you simply to subscribe, i.e. they will get your name and email at least and could be enough for them to sell or use for some purposes. That is one way to gain from their offer! Or, they offer to try their product for a week or so after that they ask you to buy it. Even in academic life, no one will offer you complete help with out some thing in return!

In academic life, it is impossible to say and work for free because of the overlap of requirements and conditions of this life. Also away from the circumstances of your life, how to continue the completion of your research and consulting and solving the problems of the community without financial support

For the reasons mentioned above, this sentence (for free) I do not want to deal with

Dear Emad, I was wondering how OERs would fit into the 'for free' approach? Although there always are costs and effort involved in developing OERs, we can freely use and adapt them for our own purposes. Would the reward lie in acknowledging  the initial developers?

Thank you very much for sharing your point of view.I utterly agree with you and your comment, but I was asking about general case of "free of charge" offers not in lecturing and other essential academic tasks presented by a university lecturer.
