How to cite a conference paper?

Hi, I think it's related to the template used in the conference , because it differs from each to other .For example in the IEEE conferences templates they use this to cite conf papers
[*] M. Wegmuller, J. P. von der Weid, P. Oberson, and N. Gisin, “High resolution fiber distributed measurements with coherent OFDR,” in Proc. ECOC’00, 2000, paper 11.3.4, p. 109.

I agree with Kouider Khaled. The citation should have the name of conference in short and it should mention the word "Proceedings"
There is a context for each conference that clarifies the research paper required to be attached to the conference
Only published conference proceedings can be included in a manuscript. Unpublished conference presentations (a report or poster that has not appeared in published conference proceedings) cannot be cited in a manuscript. Some e.g. of how to cite a conference paper,
