Do the cells look not attached to the surface of flask? I have initiated MCF7 cell culture 2 days ago. I have used DMEM/f-12 supplemented with 10% FBS, 1% MEM non-essential amino acids, 10 ug/ml insulin, and 1% Geneticin to culture the cells. This image was taken after 36 hr of seeding.
They don't look too dissimilar to the low density image according to the ATCC, but it also looks like you have two focal planes in your image? As in, some non-adhered cells (out of or in focus) and adhered cells (opposite to last).

Majority of cells seem unattached.
How long after plating cells this image was made?
In that case, your cells are mostly unattached. Usually most cells attach within a few hours of plating. In case of some cells, density of plating could be quite important - both, too high and too low may not work well.
I'm assuming these are MCF7 cells that have been transfected to express the Geneticin antibiotic resistance gene?
