I have just started culturing MRC-5's and noticed that I usually get half the expected number of cells (compared to other cell lines that I have cultured) at confluence. For example, 4 million cells in a T-75 and 9-10 million in a T-175. Is that typical for this cell line? I have noticed that they are visually larger than most cells that I have cultured previously.
