Please elaborate on what is meant by the term "displacement controlled boundary conditions".

load controlled analysis will fetch you with the maximum load v/s displacement. If you need to get the deflection after maximum load then you need to perform displacement analysis.

Rajni Chahal I have done mesh convergence studies. Even with the same mesh size ,and boundary restraints, the two types of analysis give varied results.

Please check the load at corresponding displacement and vice versa

I imagine the simplest cantilever beam with two equal forces (the 1-st load case) and with the equal deflections in the same points (the 2-nd load case). Generally, results will be different.
