It is generally observed that scientists and researchers worldwide always try to genetically engineer wild-type hyper-producer (high-yielding) strains that already produce enough/excellent quantities of products at industrial level. Moreover, if the strains and/or processes are already adopted at industrial scale for cost-effective production and commercialization of products very efficiently, why would companies welcome any further improvement studies?
