Previous studies have clearly demonstrated that TRIM67 play a vital role in innate immunity and deletion of TRIM67 shows the severe pathological effect and induce carcinogenesis. When I provided normal (control diet) to wild type mice and TRIM67 knockout mice for 14 weeks the feed intake in knockout mice was significantly lower than that of wild type mice but the there was no significant difference in body weight. Here I have a question that if the deletion of a gene cause severe pathological and inflammatory effects then what can be the possible reason that the body weight is equal but feed intake is not equal?
