We are brought together by our profession but relationship of members could go beyond that. Have you met any of your RG colleagues for collaboration or otherwise especially those from other countries before? How?
This is a wonderful question, dear Dr. Segun Michael Abegunde.
Of course, yes, I met one of them (RG-colleagues) at an international Arab forum on civil engineering which has been made in Algeria in Dec. 2015. He is from the brotherly country of Libya.
Apart from from departmental colleagues, I have met some of my RG colleagues personally working in other academic and research institutions of India. However, I haven't met any overseas RG colleague(s) in person. I would definitely love to meet some of my wonderful RG friends.
Yes I have. CICA helped organize a conference on Consciousness in Mysore India in Jan this year and 5 or the presenters including the joint organizer who I had never met, came though my interactions with them on Reasesrch Gate.
It was wonderful - just like meeting old friends. I hope more scientists from Research Gate will attend the next CICA conference on Consciousness which will probably be held in Australia next year. We shall keep you informed.

No, I have not gotten a chance to meet anyone yet except for my colleagues and co-workers from Russia. But I got an invitation to attend a conference from an RG member, so things may change soon.
Yes, I have. I have met only one of my RG colleagues. I haven't seen him for a long time. We used to work together at the same college in the Sultanate of Oman. O wish I could see him again.
No not yet , but really feel that someone should be met suddenly somewhere during meetings n conferences . As regularly I follow RG. Of course I am talking RG members who are not from my region .
Thanks Dr Mushtaq Ahmad, Dr Arvind Singh, Dr Olusola Akanbi, Dr Irina Tivyaeva, Dr Shukra Raj Paudel, Dr Hazim Al Dilaimy, Dr Ataul Karim Patwary and Dr Anjali Nilkanthappa Shete for your contributions.
A lot of my RG list names were followed because I already met them sometime a go not necessarily because they are my citizens. However, I really wish to meet all other international RG members and collaborate with some of them. It will be my great pleasure to do so.
Thanks Dr Catia Cillóniz, Dr Prabhjot Kaur, Dr Yahia Z Hamada, Dr Amjad Hazim Al- Naemi, Dr Nadeem Ahmad Khan and Dr Paul Olusegun Bankole for your contributions.
Though I have not met so far any of my overseas RG colleagues in person, but during last few months I had good telephonic/video conversation with 3 of my RG followers on research and publication related aspects. Also, I am in touch with a good number of colleagues through e-mail.
I met many colleagues at different conferences, organizations and countries that have been apart for decades, but after joining the site RG I had the opportunity to renew contact and read their recent research
Imran Hanif - In my view, this question relates to the power of RG to help connect scholars from across the globe. In my case, meeting RG scholars will help solidify the connections and professional relationships made with several colleagues on RG.
I have met few of my RG colleagues from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan on the platform of conferences. Furthermore, I often get help via RG inbox. Thanks all the researchers for being helpful in this journey of learning
Thank you Dr Hamid Waqas for your opinion. I agree with you, conference helps us to enhance the networking, , RG is also another platform to reach big brains around the globe.
