This depends on the constitutive equation itself. If it is a Rivlin-Saunders-type model (in ANSYS it is called Mooney-Rivlin type) and assuming incompressibility, you will arrive at a linear least-square problem (for uniaxial tensile tests). In all other cases you have to apply a non-linear least-square method. I refer to
