What considerations would you make before purchasing. Again, we're mostly interested in the primary antibody, not secondary.
The main point to consider is the origin of cell where you intend to used the antibody. If your cell line is compatible with the reactivity of the antibody provided by any company. You might also want to check your protein's homology with the host protein. Lastly, not so important it is good to see if any other group have cited that particular antibody then you may look at their images and have an idea about the conc to be used as a starter.
Thanks. I ended up going with Santa Cruz, after talking to their scientists who told me they use a proprietary purification process. It's not AIA, but the sample should have negligible amounts of non-specific IgG, which is important for us.
