I am working in a research about population in rural spaces, specifically in a valley, where I have identified singular process that somehow are relationed to topics that I have mentioned in my question.
At the moment I am processing statistical data from census of agriculture (CENAGRO - Peru).

Dear Alfredo, family farming needs to be addressed also form the community and local context and also the macro situation in the country. In the last food crisis we expected the family farms to be not affected. But since most of them were net buyers of food, they were also affected. Most important is the way in which we prepare our family farms and subsistence operators. The attached may be of help. Let me know if we can help further. There is a vast literature on these aspects. I have put in all my views in my book 'Agricultural Economics-An ndian perspective' published by Kalyani Publishers, New Delhi.
