We wouldl like to do placenta explants culture in order to measure pre-eclampsia associated markers such as PlGF or sFlt1. The protocols we have found in the literature simply cut the placental tissue into pieces and place it with some cell culture media, serum and antibiotic but we are not sure if we would need to add other additives to the media or to perform the cell culture in different conditions for our purpose.

We would be very grateful if somebody would provide us advice regarding the best timing for measuring those molecules or how to efficiently remove the excess of blood present in the sample (e.g. red blood lysis buffer).

Thanks a lot!
