I seem to recall it being necessary to completely dry glassware before autoclaving on dry-cycle. However, a peer of mine doesn't think this is necessary and puts still wet glassware to autoclave since they say the water drops will evaporate and not cause problems. I can't find a source online that says WHY protocols say to dry glassware completely before autoclaving. Doesn't it have something to do with ability to sterilize? I would appreciate any help, especially in the form of a trusted source explaining why.
