I am using "EasySep Direct Human CTC Enrichment Kit" from STEMCELL Tech. for CTC isolation. Is anyone using it? I am also planning to check EpCAM, CK8 and CD45 by PCR for its primary detection. Are there more genes needed for the purpose? Thanks in Advance.
It depends on cancer type/subtype you are interested in. E.g. for squamous cell carcinomas p63 is quite specific. You may also want to try vimentin or something like this as CTCs you capture may undergo EMT.
