I would like to enquire about the possibility of chromosome X transmission from mother to child and possible environmental factors or other factors that can affect the process.

Suppose we have a genetic disorder which is X linked recessive.

If transmission of the affected X from mother to child ( male child) is random, then the same prevalence of the disorder is expected in the same population in different settings.

However, is there a possibility or do any of you know about experimental models showing an influence which chromosome X will be transmitted ( the affected or the normal), regarding environmental factors?
