I am wondering if is it possible to firstly encapsulate bacteria with chitosan and then coat them within alginate-beads? Can anybody provide me with the procedure?
Alaa Kareem Niamah Yes aware of this, but some researches did the encapsulation of probiotics with chitosan. Probably probiotics can survive in chitosan while some pathogens cannot.
Krishan Kumar I mean the other way around. The common procedure is to coat the probiotics with alginate then with chitosan. But I am looking for a method to encapsulate the probiotics first with chitosan and then making beads using alginate.
