Hi All,

I'm trying to synthesize an oxide (AgCrO2 delafossite) in the form of powder. I found a journal paper reporting the synthesis of the same oxide using spin-coating. So I thought of preparing the solution the authors used, and then directly dry the solution on an hot plate.

Anyone here tried similar thing before? I mean directly dry up the solution on a hot plate instead of spin-coating the solution on a piece of substrate and then anneal. Did you successfully obtain the product you want?

I tried to find papers discussing the relationship between solution evaporation rate and the product. However did find too much information.

Thank you for help!
