CHAPS added to RIPA buffer?

Is it okay to add CHAPS 1% to RIPA buffer to increase solubility of membrane bound protein?

RIPA buffer already contains 3 detergents, so adding CHAPS probably won't make any difference. Here is a recipe for RIPA buffer:

25 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6 150 mM NaCl 1% NP-40 1% sodium deoxycholate 0.1% SDS
