The Steppe Forward Chair will hold its 4th Technical Conference, focusing on “Global challenges and experiences in making photovoltaic energy compatible with biodiversity.”. A call for proposals has been launched — open until October 3 — for the submission of research, experiences, or practical case studies to be presented during the conference, which will take place on November 24–25 at the Faculty of Sciences, Autonomous University of Madrid.

Proposals must address one of the following topics*:

  • New methodological approaches for environmental impact assessments of photovoltaic projects.
  • Mitigation and compensation measures within photovoltaic plants.
  • Compensatory measures outside photovoltaic plants. (*Within these three areas, the presentation must specify its focus: birds, bats, reptiles, amphibians, arthropods, mammals, vegetation, primary production, microclimate, etc.)
