hi everyone...i have to see the effect of certain chemical compound on the cell cycle..basically i have to see their effect on the check points,whether it is causing cell cycle arrest at any certain phase,say G1/S or G2/M phase..i have decided to try flow -cytometry ...what are the available kit for this,there are many..can anyone sujest what would be the reqired kit for that..

In addition to PI, which will give you a high level analysis of what may be going on, you'll probably want to start looking at Cyclin expression. These can be stained using common intracellular staining protocols. There may not be a kit, per se, but the information you will get will be much more detailed.
