Hello,

I'm experiencing some problems trying to monitorate my culture growth. Usually, in my lab people do that using the espectrophotometer, but I can't use it because my experiments do not allow cells to be exposed to light in a specific wavelenght, only white light.

Then I started to count cells in photos taken by videomicroscopy, but i find it too weak in accuracy, because the cells have not a simple shape, they´re like fibroblasts, and I can´t use trypsin to make them round. Does anybody knows any software that makes the image analysis that I need to tell how much my culture is expanding more accurately? Could be something that makes the analysis of image "density", not necessarily a cell counter. Today I'm exploring the software ImageJ, but I'm still uncertain if it's texture analysis is really my best option.

Best regards,

Elga.
