Hi! I saw a lot of literature using negative Vds in the transfer curves of p-type organic field-effect transistors, but I thought only Vgs need to be negative to operate p-type OFET. Can Vds be positive to operate and turn on a p-type transistor? Thank you!

The drain bias, assuming the source is grounded, depends on the conduction type of the channel. If the conduction type is positive with holes, then one apply negative voltage at the source to extract the holes and collect them by the drain from the channel. If the channel is n type meaning the drain must collect electrons from the channel. This is accomplished by applying positive voltage at the drain.
