I just want to find out some information about calculating heavy oil viscosity. based on your paper "NEW VISCOSITY CORRELATIONS FOR DEAD CRUDE OILS" I found equation number (6), but I was not sure if I can use it to calculate the viscosity of extremely heavy oil (Tar-mat) which have API range between 1.34-5.17 API. I want to ask you if I can use equation number 6 to calculate the viscosity. Also, the information that I have is the API gravity and temperature of the reservoir. So, please let me know if we can apply your equation (6) to calculate our viscosity? Also, is there any limitation which I mean that there is specific range of API gravity that your equation (6) can only use for.

I would like to verify if the equation 7 and its coefficients a and b are correct? I'm assuming temperatures in Kelvin. Consider for example an api of 20 and a temperature of 284 degK. In this case, the output of the correlation would be -11088.2, what seems incorrect.
What am I doing wrong?
