Our work is a numerical and experimental study on energy separation in a vortex tube. We use the RSM turbulence model to simulate the energy separation process. One reviewer said that: The modeling of Reynolds heat fluxes is not compatible with the RSM used.
Can i kindly ask you about this comment?is this true?
Could you provide further details? How do you introduce the model?
Recheck your model to be compatible with RTM (Reynolds Stress Model) for validity ... etc.

At this stage in your work, is it possible to switch from RSM to k-epsilon Standard or to k-omega? (I am assuming you are using Ansys Fluent). I have tried using RSM to model vortex tube flow, but had better success with k-epsilon and k-omega. Received realistic temperature differences and good conversion.
In the past, I have successfully used the k-epsilon standard to model the energy separation in vortex tubes; one of my colleagues worked at Ansys as a CFX programmer; according to him, the k-omega is highly recommended for simulation of compressible flow and turbulence.
