I would need cells dissociated and sorted from adult rat or mouse brain (for instance from transgenic mice expressing fluorescent proteins under specifically neuronal or astrocytic promoters), or even RNA extracted from such cells.
Neurobits is a company that sells dissociated primary neuronal cultures that can be mixed neurons and glia or pure neuronal. If you talk to a good primary cell culture lab, they can likely help you with doing your own dissections as well.
