Drug use can potentijally have adverse toxic effects from for example over dose deliberately or otherwise. Other drugs are used to counter the toxic effects. However, there are some that do not or have very little known anti dotes.. I would like to know why for such drugs we have not anti dotes.

Some of antidotes can chelate the poison such as succimer or dimercaprol that make a hydrophilic complex with lead, arsenic or mercury. the complexes are eliminated the body via kidney, urine or stool.
in other hand, there are too many poisons that affect antioxidant systems in the body, such as acetaminophen. the antidote should increase the antioxidant system such as acetyl cysteine that increase glutathione.
many of poisons still remained that affect on all the body and distribute in all the tissues or affect by unknown mechanisms. for these toxins there is no antidote.

Thank you so much for your answer. So the toxicity with no anti dotes are to a large extent quickly distributed in the body more than they get eliminated or detoxified? I have an idea now.
