I am currently doing research on the bacteriocins Epidermicin, Nisin A, Subtilin and Sakacin A which are respectively naturally produced by by Staphylococcus epidermidis strain 224, Lactococcus lactis ssp. lactis, Bacillus subtilis and Lactobacillus sakei. I do not possess pure cultures of this bacteria, however I have bought some products (Kimchi, Probiotics, Natto Soybean) that are claimed to contain the bacteria I am interested in and have grown the heterogenous bacterial mixtures derived from these commercial products on agar plates and Lysogeny broth. Now I am looking for a protocol/method that allows me to naturally extract/purifiy the bacteriocins. However, I have no access to expanded bed ion exchange chromatography or anything of that sort. Can somebody reccommend some easier protocol that uses commonly available solvents and laboratory machines?

Than you in advance!
