Hi Samer, I'm surprised nobody has answered this yet. Although I am not a single cell transcriptomics biologist, I believe single cell sequencing can definitely be done on any species...kind of like qPCR, imaging, or other techniques. Rat for instance, nematode, drosophila, they should all have genomes in the database to map the sequencing results. If I'm wrong, it'd be interesting to hear from an expert why this is not the case (and I definitely could be wrong).
