I am trying to do an FSCV experiment using multilayer graphene (MLG) vs Ag/AgCl. I wonder if I can calculate the required MLG and/or Ag/AgCl electrode area using Randles-Sevcik equation. In this equation, both i_p and A are unknown. At least, can I use it for estimating the ratio between them (i_p/A)?

Or should I use another formula for that? I am trying to use dopamine solution for this experiment.

In Randles-Sevcik equation, i_p is proportional to A (if I increase the area, the current will also be increased). As I remember when we try to detect very low concentration, we need very small electrode area so the peak current can be detected. Is that correct? How if we use smaller electrode than required? what will happen?
