Can MeDIP-seq (methylated DNA immunoprecipitation-sequencing) be performed on DNA previously stained with DAPI or Hoechst? If not, are there any DNA stains compatible with the technique?
Hi Lech, I don't think DAPi or Hoechst staining is a problem. For immunoprecipitation you need to denature your DNA samples, and DAPI binding to single-stranded DNA is negligible. You may also try MethylCap (e.g. Diagenode) instead of MeDIP.
