Hey, everyone ! I really need some help for my research!

Basically, my study focus on how the relationship between a and b is moderated by c, so c supposed to have moderate effect on the relation between a and b

my supervisors ask me to use a moderated regression model to test my hypothesis : a = b + c + b*c+ control variables , where b*c is a two way interaction effect and the orignal variables are all centered to have a zero mean b*c is calculated with the centered scores of b and c

however the result is insignificant and the model fit is terrible with the liner regression

I wonder if I can use the quantile regression to test the moderate effect of c? Do I have to center the original variables again as I did with the liner regression?
