I am analysing the acid pre-treatment products of oil palm biomass. The accessories of the HPLC system I am using does not produce result as desired. There are several overlapping among the various reducing sugars, alcohol sugars and other pre-treatment biodegradation product. So I decided to use NREL LAP which recommends biorad aminex HPX-87H column. I want to know if this different accessory on my Shidmazu HPLC system can produce desired result.

yes u can definitely go ahead with the column of other manufacturing company. i d also tried thermo columns with my WATERS system and i got very gud results. It works.

Hi, yes you can use different columns in different machines - just make sure that the fittings etc match. If you need to compare columns to see which ones will give similar and different selectivity there are a few online tools you can use:
