Can you infect an aphid with both PT and NPT?
I realize that it is theoretically possible but haven't found any article relating to it.
Is there any useful article and information that can help with my question?
Each virus is carried by specific aphid species. Yes it is possible but it needs time for Persistent viruses.
What I understand about Non-persistent virus is that its acquisition rate lowers as the aphid spends more time on the source. If that is the case, if persistent virus requires longer acquisition time while non-persistent virus requires very short time, would NPT not be acquired by the vector?
