Is there a method to immobilize E coli cells to 96 well plates? I am developing an assay with live cultures of bacteria and I generally use FACSaria for that but I am planning to go high throughput. Does any one stick their bacterial cells to 96 or 384 well plate system? I tried searching but none of the method seems very convincing.
E. coli is Temperature sensitivity!
and rich media to grow!
Means you will need to work with this two variables? I think? But I am not clear with IMMOBILISE??
To some degree, E coli should adsorb on normal ELISA plates,
there are also cool polystyrene binding peptides that you could
attach to some outer membrane proten to make bacteria stick
to the plates better.
In case if misunderstood you question,
E coli also grow well in the 96 well deep well plates.
You will need vibrational shaker for the plates and possibly
centrifuge that has a rotor for these plates.
Bacteria stick really well to poly-l-lysine treated surfaces. You could treat the 96 well plate with poly lysine, add the bacteria and they will stick.
