Can i determine the IC50 of an anticancer drug using propidium iodide and flow cytometry?

I was wondering if this is possible and which could be some drawbacks of using this approach, considering that the drug is an antiandrogen and it works mainly as a growth inhibitor.

I have the same question, I believe it is possible the main problem I am having is how to deal with the cells after I incubate with the drug. I think the main drawback will be the cell death that will occur while you are preparing the cells for PI staining.
